About this mantra
The bīja-mantra of Venus: Shukracharya, guru of the asuras in the Puranas. Jyotisha counts Shukra as the significator of love, beauty, the arts, comfort and the spouse.
Meaning
Om, with the seed-syllables drāṁ drīṁ drauṁ saḥ, salutations to Shukra, Venus, preceptor of the asuras and lord of all that makes life sweet. The jaap asks that beauty, love, and comfort come as blessings rather than cravings, enjoyed with a steady heart.
