Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Welcome to Dharamkira. By using this site you agree to these terms — kept short and honest.

What this site is

Dharamkira offers content about Sanatan Dharma for learning and devotion. We prepare it with care, acknowledge sources, and respect that practice varies between regions, communities, and families.

For rites, ceremonies, and questions specific to your family's tradition, your own elders, guru, or purohit remain the right guide. Dharamkira informs; it does not claim religious authority over your practice.

Use of content

Mantras and scriptures are the shared heritage of the tradition and belong to no website. Our presentations, translations, explanations, and design are the work of Dharamkira — you may share them for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution, but please do not republish them wholesale or sell them.

Please use the site respectfully: no attempts to break, overload, scrape, or misuse it.

Health and practice

Yoga postures and breathing practices described on Dharamkira are traditional educational content, not medical advice. Every technique page carries its own cautions — please read them, and practise gently within your capacity.

If you are pregnant, or live with a heart condition, blood-pressure issues, epilepsy, glaucoma, recent surgery, or any condition that concerns you, speak with your doctor first — and learn strong breath practices (such as kapalbhati or bhastrika) from a qualified teacher in person before practising alone.

Stop any practice that causes pain, dizziness, or distress. Nothing on this site replaces the judgement of a doctor or an experienced teacher.

Reminders and notifications

Dharamkira can help you remember your practice in two ways, and they are not the same thing. The calendar file sets a repeating alarm in your own calendar app — it rings whether or not Dharamkira is open, and once it is in your calendar it is yours to edit or delete there; we cannot change it or see it. The in-app reminder is shown by your browser and needs Dharamkira open or running in the background; on iPhone it needs the site added to your Home Screen first. Whether it may appear at all is a browser permission you grant and can withdraw at any time in your browser's settings.

Neither reminder is guaranteed to arrive. Browsers, phone battery settings and calendar apps can delay or suppress them, and we have no way to know whether one was delivered. Do not rely on these reminders for anything time-critical — a medicine, an appointment, a fast that must be broken at a particular minute. They are a nudge toward your sadhana, nothing more.

Honesty about limits

We work hard to be accurate, and we correct mistakes when they are found — but content is provided as-is, without warranties. Use it with your own discernment.

Changes and contact

These terms may evolve as features launch (accounts, memberships); changes will be dated and plainly noted. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. A contact address will be published on the Contact page shortly.
