About this mantra
The Gayatri of Hanuman. He is named through his two parents, Anjana and the wind-god Vayu, and asked to impel the mind toward selfless strength.
Meaning
We know the son of Anjana; we meditate on the son of the wind; may Hanuman impel us. Two parents, two natures: Anjana's child is devotion embodied; Vayu's child is force embodied. The Gayatri asks to be driven by the union of the two, and that union is Hanuman's definition: power that moves only for love.
